Default PCV valve missing?

Hi Everyone,
I have a 2006 WRX with 140k on the clock.
I have been noticing that the car has been using a fair bit of oil lately and part of my research/investigation has lead me to the PCV valve. Thinking the valve maybe stuck open I decided to order a new valve and change the old one out.
Today when I removed the intercooler I couldn't see the valve. Instead there is a plastic 3 way connector:

The new valve looks nothing like what's in the car and even the hose that comes from under the throttle body is thick and there's no way it will fit onto the metal end of the new valve. From the YouTube videos I've seen the hose that comes from under the throttle body is a lot thinner.

Has anyone seen this 3 way connector before? Is this some sort of PCV valve delete?

Any advice is appreciated.

Ok sorted.
The PCV valve is on the intake manifold, below the throttle body.
All the YouTube videos I've seen have all been on US WRXs and the PCV valve is set into a 3 way plastic connector. I think it has to do with the US vehicle emissions law.

Hope this helps others.

Plumb it up correctly with the new pcv valve. I remember reading somewhere that it is beneficial for the engine to vent the crack case when the intake is under vacuum.
