Default Servicing

Hey guys, well I'm just about due for my next service. The last time I got my car serviced I just took it to the suby dealer, however it was completly stock then. Since then I have done a few things to it, and am just wandering whether I should still go to the suby dealer to get it serviced, or does it not really matter? Do any of you guys out there with modified cars get your car serviced at the dealer or do you take them elsewhere?

What mods, if u dont mind me asking?

If you're still under warranty then take it to subaru while it lasts. They dont really care unless its gonna cause a major issue. Eg. Your new VF34 and link running 20psi blows the engine

They dont really give a crap about small mods and you'll hold onto your 3 year warranty should anything go wrong due to subaru workmanship.

If it's farily heavily modified or reaching that stage, go the workshop route.

I would go to a Rex workshop no matter what. They know alot more about car than some apprentice getting paid $200 a week!
As long as your car is serviced by a workshop your warranty will stand.

what vyper said, I take mine to City Suby because it is under warranty. I have very minor mods, cat back zorst, lowered for record. I like the guys at RMS and they do great work but they don't offer to drop me off or pick me up when car is ready. City Suby have a great workshop and will do good job of servicing your car. If you are looking for a tunner then head to RMS, MMS, Speedworks, etc.

Take it to MMS (Maximum Motorsport) they do a decent service at a competitive price and doesnt void you new car warranty. I take my my06 their and Subaru know that and have no problems with it.

Take it to a specialist, that way when you get more mods done you already have a rapport with them and they should take a bit more time and effort with you, depends where you live on who to go to, RMS, MMS and Speedworks can all do log book Subaru services
