vortex do make a 98 RON but it is not available in WA, the vortex is WA is 95 only. Ultimate is the only petrol in WA with 98.

Tbh I'd run her on a tank of 98 just to see how you go.

As for Injector cleaner I run it because you can never be too sure, I' have had experiences in the past where the quality of fuel I get from some BP pumps tend to vary, for an extra 6-$ a bottle every 3-6 months or so it is worthwhile imo, atleast i have that piece of mind i guess.

As for the noise best take it to a specialised subaru workshop for another opinion if the dealer has no idea, Might be nothing, might be something that may pop up long term.

Well, problem resolved....Catalytc convertor has been blocked for some time. The original honeycomb looked like it had been cooked....literaly. Boys at STechnic sored her out and runs like a champ now!!

The noise was sorted under warranty - some sensor....the poor performance was reported to Subaru when under warranty they did nothing - they serviced thee car from day 1....the car spent most of its life running at 4 psi boost until Stechnic did the 100,000km service and sorted the cat - now running at full boost

Here we go again.
