Anyone got some pics of the before and after of a 06-07 STI with the guards rolled ?

GX-REX 12-09-2008 08:59 AM

Makes no difference to the looks, just rolls the inner lip to allow bigger wheels...

QUINNER 17-08-2009 01:57 PM

Tech 9 tyres in o'connor do it. $100 for the rear. Got mine done there just over a yr ago.

BALISTC 15-05-2010 02:05 PM

Bump for this, I just got my guards rolled by Des from Auto FX and he did an absolute sterling job.. absolutely perfect, no ripples in the guards and the paint is unblemished also.

I highly recommend him!

TROLLEY 07-12-2011 10:49 PM

LOL what the fuck?!

macmillionare 07-12-2011 11:49 PM

maybe i'll just crash into some kerbs... that should tuck the wheels in nicely so they don't rub anymore

R3X 14-01-2012 03:10 PM

After fitting my rims that are 18 x 8.5 +38 with tyres that are 235/40, I needed the guards rolled. I contacted Des from Auto FX and dropped around there to get it done. It's a MY06 STI and when Des had a look at it he said you can't roll the guards on them. As the lip that is usually rolled is actually cut out via Subaru so there is no lip to roll. As I was a previous customer of Des he used my car as an experiment to see how he can fit get the tyres to stop rubbing. In the end he did a great job and the tyres don't rub anymore.

As I hung around why Des did the work and had a talk to him about various subjects. He said I could post up on the forum that he'll offer discounts to Perth-WRX members on his services. So check out his website on services provided and guys with MY06 STI and onwards that need the guards fixed to stop tyres rubbing Des has got the technique to do them now.
