An MY00 ECU is slightly detuned, about half a second on the quarter mile compared to the MY99. An MY98 has an older, non reprogrammable version of ECU.

Do you know what type of ecu you actually have? Did you read the link? Have you swapped an 00 ECU with a 99? Ask some of the guys who have done it. Did you forget to mention the MBC hidden away under your bonnet or worse yet has someone done the old 3/16 of a turn mod on your wastegate actuator but done more like 2 turns...read the link.

For starters i brought my car off a 60 year old guy and was totally standard not one modifcation to it!

Before you talk get your facts right i do not have any form of adjustable boost level my boost level is 13psi as boost gauge shows and still has the little stock brass t-piece in the lines and it does not have a swapped out ECU!

Relax, no offence intended and I have thought about this.

But it's just old news to those of us who owned these cars new.
Leaves me thinking your car is either one of those freaks or has a few mods you did not know about. Or heaven forbid, was just well driven

You have physically checked what your ECU model number is? It should be an ae802, you may have been lucky to get the last of the 801's?
