If you really want to decrease the lag from any FMIC piping...

Do some research on a rotated compressor housing and upside down FMIC mount.

This method can cut 70-80 cm off the traditional WRX IC piping route. but still allow for the excellent cooling of a FMIC.

Very intresting. Mounting ur FMIC upside down sounds simular to sumthing i most likley would do accidently, and then find my pipes dont fit, then hit my head with a ratchet and do it all over again.

For you though .. Don't think you would see any gains from doing it?
I dno, as someone mentioned earlier, i dont have a cat in my up-pipe, but i got the part with the zorst and i know a mechanic that can do it for me on the cheap. Maybe i should dyno it as it runs now, then put it on and find out?

Unless your running big boost on a bigger turbo, the larger diameter up-pipe will cause increase the lag on your turbo without any other benefits. The smaller diameter standard up-pipe will keep exhaust velocities up and give you quicker spool up.

Keep the original up-pipe and sell the new up-pipe to a my02 owner.

I would but whats one worth? Brand spanker, still shiney shiney! I got the gasket for it just not the bolts as i literally had to hacksaw a turboback securing bolt from the turbo/exhaust flange off because sumhow (still mind boggled) i had an actual BENT screw that i couldnt undo without the use of a rattle gun. Just so happens unless it was the worlds smallest rattlegun, it wouldnt of fit into my engine bay anyway.

Cheers, but imma grab my 18"s first. Make it look the part as it already sounds the part. Built a house with my brother just recently so i need to continue to balance the spendature between house/car very carefully. Cash for car, cash for house, cash for car, cash for house.

And this my friend is why i am single.....boo-doom-shhh!
