Antilag on Link PNP V5 ECU
Just wondering what is required is it hard to set up for a workshop?
Where can i get the chip and the solonoid from? Will a chip from a link 044 ecu work? Any link owners that have antilag any info would be muchly appriciated!

Don't put an antilag chip on a link ecu. Its crap. You'll find that with the chip, your entire fuel/ignition timing gets screwed due to the reduced tuning resolution.
Its not difficult to set up. A solenoid will be placed at the throttle body to set up the rotational idle (stepper, not sure if this is the right term). Anti lag is great for show but does very little in a street environment. $450 the chip from memory. Not sure if the 44S link will work, given that the pins may be different and the software is different as well |

A Link is a full ecu.
Its not a bad ecu if you don't run antilag, bang for buck ecu, will win hands down |

If you've already got a 'high' res link (i.e. no als chip), I'd leave it as it is.
However, if you do decide to get the chip; You can get a new solenoid either directly from a workshop, or if you can be bothered ringing around some holden wreckers, you might be able to find an old throttle solenoid from a VC commodore (make sure they give you the nut that comes with it). The wreckers will probably charge you between 30-50 bucks for the solenoid (they're probably worth about $5). You'll need to mount the throttle body and have a switch installed plus some minor 'tuning' (assuming u've already had a tune done). It's good to have a masturbate over for a little while, but that's about it. I currently have a link that i bought with the als chip. AJ and Shaun managed to tune it to be very drivable whilst keeping the als. However, as I said before, I wouldn't be going out of my way to get the chip installed if I already had the 10 row link to start off with.
