Default MY03 STi Power steering pump

Well the PS pump on my MY01 bug eye wrx...No power steering now unless you give it a rev, no loss of fluid or broken hoses.

Was a result of stupid driving

Now im summing up my options...

Buy MY03 pump and try
Buy MY01 Pump from wrecker and replace
Rebuild it

I work at an auto parts store and theres no supply for these at out stockist so thats out of the question

So does the MY03 STi pump fit ?

Shauno it sounds as if the SEALS are passing within the pump, with no lose of fluid its probaly the main cause, when reving there is sufficent pressure build up to make it operational.
I,am not to sure wether there is a rebuild kit for it or may it might be worth having a look around that could be a cheaper option or even contacting your local subi dealer to see the availablility, if so have a go at replacing the seals yourself or get a mobile mechanic to come around and have the pump out for him before he comes, to save time and money.Cheers.

EJ207 sti PS pumps are different, and wont fit without transferring the whole mounting bracket assembly.
