Yep, not much you can do besides getting a EBC(Electronic Boost Controller) or a new ECU/Tune. Correct me if im wrong.

I used to get spikes in cold condtions. Had a Link ECU installed, no problems anymore.

Iv never heard of that in my life!

A tbe should be fine you should not be getting spikes i didnt find any increase in boost when i fitted mine maybe 0.5 psi or so but it should be fine with stock ecu nothing to worry about!

So the TBE and resonator on a stock ECU (MY00 or MY99??) and no probs?

Isn't the induction noise / Bov noise after removing the resonator, too loud? Any chances of hearing it?? Wouldnt mind hearing it before ripping it out too

Yes stock ECU no problems what so ever its only really become a prob on 01 onwards the classics are fine with basic mods!

I have a pipe that goes from my frontbar into my airbox so you cant really hear the induction noise and can only hear the bov very lightly when very cold weather and no music otherwise its very very soft and you cant hear nothing!

If you want to hear it you better hurry up my cars going into workshop on thursday and all that will be coming out so . . . honestly though its not that much more louder than stock!

Cheers I'll take your word for it and rip it out while installing the TBE. Thanks mate been very helpful.

If you have a MY99 ECU and if that's coming out too i'll be interested in purchasing it. I have a MY00 ECU but since the earlier was tuned more aggresively...

I have not touched my ECU and i dont know what ECU it is it will be coming out this week so i will check the codes on it but my cars a MY00 so im thinking its a MY00 ecu or maybe they had left over 99 ones and my car has a 99 one because it is pretty aggresive! I will have a look once its out!

From memory if it has "602" written on it it's a MY00 ECU, "600" and "601" are the MY99 ECUs
