Just wanting to replace my bootlid but need to swap out the barrel to the new bootlid.. Anyone got suggestions on how to do this??

Open the boot, take any covers off the lock area, undo any links going to the barrel, you will find a flat u shaped clip that goes around the barrel next to the body work, slide this out & the barrel will drop out.

cool i thought that was the case. i had a look a couple of days back and the clip seemed to be the part holding it.

Do u have to remove any linkages? there not specific to each car? Its just the barrel that is?
