Remember the 6Gb drive is shown under a magnifying glass.

Not your typical 3.5" drive whacked in a computer there. So the $400 price tag would be about right for 2006.

Yes.

I've worked on some truly, disgracefully old hardware, and aquired some "New Computer Buying Guides" along the way from the early and mid 80's. Big dollars for storage back then, big, big dollars.
