I test drove one a couple of times when they first came out. They are not bad at all. They have a fair amount of grunt, and the sound in the cabin from the Volvo engine is fantastic. Interior is pretty good, nice seats and stereo but no cruise control, not even as an option.

I was seriously considering buying one as they are not badly priced but at that time the waiting list was atleast 6 mnths and i was a bit worried how they would hold up re-sale wise.

Your point would be?

It could be worse, it could be a holden!

Anyway back to the topic, Jeremy Clarkson gave them a good wrap on Top Gear. I think they are pretty cool but would I buy one over a WRX? Hell to the No!

And as expected, it's FWD. **yawn** 6 speed is a nice touch tho'.

Cruise control is listed as standard equipment according to Redbook link but I've seen them wrong before. One only has to go thru the different WRX years to see several inaccuracies.

test drove one, not too bad, torque steer is pretty good for a FWD.

Yeah a lot of us would pick a wrx anyway but then the Wrx is also 5-6G more.

Kym, if your thinking of buying one with the intention of doin a similar stereo set up to what you have now, forget it. Ford dealer told me a while back that all new Focus' go to limp-home mode as soon as any stereo equipment is tampered with.

A German made body with a Volvo engine... it sure is a falcon.

I'd be interested to see if the Volvo V70 AWD gearbox would bolt up to one ...
