There's a reason it got voted against 3 times (i think?!... may not be true!) , and there's a reason they don't want to hold a referendum for it because they know majority will probably vote against it.

I think its fantastic. I normally drive to work around 5.30am and I don't mind it being dark, coz hell, it's dark at that time for most of the year.

Having the extra daylight at night is really good for doing a lot of other jobs, going for a walk/bike ride etc.

Now if only there were more shops/cafe's open at night to get people to go to! (but thats for another poll, I'm sure )

Totally agree with you Kato on that point about cafes etc. Having been to Europe many times and seeing the cafes and whole different culture over there, it would be awesome if places of that nature over here stayed open past 8.00-9.00pm.

Honestly Perth is pretty boring...the reason some people dont like daylight saving is because there is nothing to do i that extra hour of sunlight. I think that if these people experienced DLS in another country where the extra hour is supported with activities etc...their opinions would change no doubt.

almost Every 1st world country incorporates daylight saving why should aussies be different.....harden the f#$k up people..
