The greatest comeback in the history of the game!

This was a truly remarkable footy match. One that had the 52 thousand fans rocking the stands at the MCG. The Kangaroos without superstar Wayne Carey kicked 12 first quarter goals against the top team in the competition and midway through the second quarter led by 69 points. It looked like a whitewash. The Bombers came back as great teams do. Nine goals in 12 minutes ended the Kangaroos impetus and the second half was a cracker. Watch out for Matty Lloyd on the way to another hundred goal season and marvel at the skill and accuracy of the Roos. This is one for all time. One to treasure. A game that had everything. Kangaroos and Essendon, Round 16, 2001 - Footy was the winner.

Can't remember if it was the crows 1st or 2nd premiership but it was the one against the roos. I remember resigning myself at 1/2 time to the fact that my 50 bucks was gone and we come back and killed them.
