AFL - Who do you support?
Seeing as the pre-joke season is nearly finished and we are about to get down to business, I thought it would be good to find out who everyone supports and why.
I am an Essendon supporter and have been since I was a little tacker. The old man used to barrack for Perth in the WAFL, then he started supporting Essendon when he was youger just because of the similar colours, so that where it started in my family. I will start a P-Wrx dream team comp when it starts for those interested, will keep you all posted.

I Support Freo. (FREO HEAVE HO!!!)
Used to Support the Eagles until 92, then I supported Essendon while I was waiting for Freo team to be formed. I support East Freo in the WAFL because my Grandad lives accross the road from the oval, so I used to go to the games when I was there... So I think it was natural for me to support a Freo based team, when it arrived in the AFL. I actually support Footy tho. I will watch every game where possible over the weekend, just to see it. I enjoy seeing certain teams win, and I enjoy seeing other teams loose. I don't mind the Eagles, just some of their players I don't like.. but same with every team. Freo FTW! |

Eagles.
Wasn't into footy in a big way until i started drinking alcohol. The two just seemed to go together. My family always supported the eagles so thought I would carry on the tradition. |

Go the CROWS.
Was Glenelg ( mighty tigers ) as a kid in Adelaide. Was Essendon in the VFL before it became the AFL. Still don't know any of the WAFL teams.

UP THE MIGHTY KANGAS!!!
Not really sure how that one started. Was bout 95 i spose, then its continued stronger recently when my friend Brent Lecras was picked up by them back in 02/03. Unfortunately the bastards dropped him, so i find myself tuning into more and more Eagles games to watch his brother Mark.

Eagles since before I can remember.
I also enjoy watching Freo both win & loose.. for a start Pav's a living legend & secondly any WA team experiencing success is a good thing for all sandgropers. If freo keep winning & members keep signing up a bigger, better venue can't be too far off. But then I also enjoy watching Freo loose occasionally, mainly due to their fan's & the selfish, show boating style of footie they use to play (ohh wait I think the term is "brand".. gee that phrase gets a flogging). When I say their fans.. it seems that most Eagles supports like to see Freo do well as long as it's not against us. But Freo supports seem to have this huge inferiority chip on their shoulders. So fark em.. good to see them implode & spit on their coach every now & then. But yeah any GOOD game of footie I'll watch.. for pure entertainment value you'd be hard pressed to go past the doggies. With the new age 'flood' drowning the game, watching a team run flat out, carry the ball & go forward at all costs is bloody good to watch.
