Guys,
After 2 months of holding the car for a buyer, the doshbag now wants to bail at the last minute when he is suppose to be picking up the car this Thursday. Not only does this doshbag want to bail, he also wants to take the deposit back saying that because the RAC inspection came out with a few issues with car (note he gets the car inspected one week beforehand of the agreed pickup date and 1 and 3/4 months after putting down the deposit). He even has the guts to say I should lower the price to get the issues fixed or he will not give the rest of the money. He now believes he has the rights to take half the money back and believes he has legal rights to do so (even though he has signed a contract saying that if he doesn't pay the remaining amount by so and so date the seller has the rights to keep the deposit) Yeah right sunshine! the deposit is mine!, it is there for a reason (its means the buyer has made a commitment to purchase the car with a deposit to seal the deal). The doshbag should of got the car inspected beforehand before putting down the deposit and if I'd knew about those issues after the inspection I would of got it fixed or maybe lower the price to accommodate for the issues. Has anyone else come across a doshbag like this, it just pisses me off that I have waited 2 months for this. Not only that I'm in this situation now where I'm screwing another seller up (a car I have put deposit on which I promised I will pick up this week with the money I sold with this car) Enough of my ranting for today. Feedback on other's experience would be great |

Whats his nickname on Antilag?
If he is one of those 5 post monkeys that trawls the Classifieds, I'll delete his account. Last edited by BALISTC; 13-03-2007 at 08:26 PM. |

2 months, thats a bit of a joke! If he was keen on purchasing the vehicle, he should have organised the inspection straight away.
Keep his deposit, if he wasnt committed to buying your car he shudnt have given you the deposit in the first place. His loss!
