I Appear to have mis placed a speeding fine. Is there a way i can get another copy? And can you pay fines over the phone/at a post office?

If its passed the due date, theres SFA you can do about it. They will just send you a new one with a $12 late fee on it. This could take ages though cause apparently the system is flooded with traffic infringements and it can take up to 6mnths to get a fine sent out.

It's not past its due date yet.. not till the end of march. That's why i want to pay it before i get slapped with late fees etc

i got a flash in August last year... and have only recently received the official fine!

Fark....now im really worried. Think i got flashed in the outside lane of the freeway back in december. Had 8 points at that stage so wasnt too concerned. Been flashed once since and last 3 from a hand held......i really hope it didnt get me....

Im with Julian, I was flashed on the 10/09/06 and got the fine 18 days ago, so dont count your chickens before they hatch

Been caught a few more times since but i've either lost my license or sitting on 1 point (but no way i could survive on 1pt). The 10kms over / 4pts multi fine on Australia day will be the clincher when it arrives in a few months time.

Lady at licensing centre told me system is heavily backed up and im pegging it will get worse when more people loose their licenses with this new demerit point system.
