Personally, I've never touched a drug in my life, havnt even smoked a cigarette. So im most definitely not pro drug. On the other hand I'm not overly anti drug, if someone chooses to do so more power to them.

What angers me is that Ben is a role model to many people, children and adults due to his awesome talents on the field. What type of message does he send to them when he openly flaunts his drug use? We already have enough issues in society, we dont need people being taught its ok to be drug addicts. The flipside response to that is that we shouldnt be idolising sports stars who are merely human too, but we do, and they should realise this.

Its his money, his life, if he wants to flush both down the drain then he should at least have some sort of moral decency to hide it from public view. And yes you have to feel for those who have stood by him and supported them, he is mocking them pretty badly.

it certainly was, i think it was fkn unfair, yes his under scrutiny for his action, but ffs his aloud to go out and have a drink/go out and party, so long as he doesnt involve himself in anything illegal or drugs i dont see a problem, its the off season and his not contracted to any AFL teams currently anyway, everyones acting as if he isnt aloud to go out and have fun!! the media just wont leave him alone, im sure aca can find something else to report on, i see west coast and freo players out everyweek boozing up, getting smashed, may not have been in trouble like cousins, but i think its unfair they scruitnize him for going out and having drinks on the gold coast. I was in Broome over the weekend, and I was sitting about 2 metres away from Matthew Pavlich, who was having a few drinks.

Is that illegal? No it isn't. Ben Cousins having a 6 pack of beer or bourbons isn't illegal either, and him staying out to 5am with mates and girls isn't exactly news-worthy.
The bloke is a drug addict, but what I saw in that ACA report was hardly illicit behaviour. In fact, I think its quite intrusive. I don't think implying that he was a "toolie" was a great thing to do either.

I'm not denying he has a problem, but ffs leave the bloke alone. If anything, its because I'm sick of hearing and reading about his life every few days in the news!!

Whats the point in saying "FFS leave him alone"? He's famous and he's f*cked up bigtime. That is newsworthy which = $$. Come on you surely must know the score. Thats the price of fame. Additionally he's done nothing to avoid this publicity, if anything he's courted the media and relished the publicity e.g Turning up to court dressed like he was going to a nightclub.
