Do you think it would be a different story if it was one of the Western Australian teams rather than one of the bigger Victorian ones? You bet your arse it would. They would be fined, suspended and banned within days.

The more I think about it, the more i think it will fizzle into absolutely nothing.....

Only way they will be fined/lose points/whatever, is if they have been found to be taking something illegal/doing something wrong. Which is fine, and no body can whinge or deny it.

[B]IF[/B] they are found to have done absolutely nothing wrong in terms of legal/illegal substances and processes/protocol by ASADA or WADA or whatever the fuck they are called. Then the AFL decides to charge them for bringing the game into disrepute or some other shit, then they will have a HUGE shit fight on their hands.

If they have done nothing wrong, then how is it Essendon's fault that everything was leaked to the media and the media has done what the media does best and turned a mountain out of a molehill?
It all should have been done behind closed doors.

Whilst I don't agree with anything Essendon has done (injections into stomach etc). If the substances aren't/weren't illegal at the time then there should be no other action taken.

Will either be a massive debacle over nothing, or big big fine and deducted points etc.. All depends on whether the report found them to be guilty or not guilty. There cannot be a middle ground... Only time will tell.

Ben Cousins never tested positive yet was delisted for 12months for being a junkie & bringing the game into disrepute.

Essendope has done way more damage to the AFL brand than that dopey drug addict meth head.
