Friend (80yr old) came over from Europe and was watching the footy, when they would tackle and hold them on the ground and move around.

He was like WTF hey get off him he's married, he has probable got kids...get off him!!!

Hey it's a physical game so yeah there's gonna be some contact.. in a non homo way. It's a testosterone, bloky, blokes type game so calling it homosexual doesn't really fit.

I'm a weedy guy & haven't even really played a game. But I'm not sure how anyone can dispute it's viewing appeal. It's got the brute force aspect of rugby scrumming, kicking skills, ball handling skills & it's fasted passed with players usually sprinting at full pelt.

The most ironical part is soccer supporters labelling our game gay. Soccer, a game where blokes blatantly fake an injury, carry on, roll around on the ground.. maybe a few tears... which is just flat out dishonest & equivalent to lying/cheating imo. They make out there in so much pain some even wait till the medics come out for a bit of extra effect. Then get up & just walk it off in a matter of min's.... Dont worry about a can of harden the fk up, these guys need it on tap.

I'd much rather watch a string of handballs, marks & a few kicks (British bulldogs style as my mate calls it) then watch guys just kick a ball around between themselves.

I mean come on, there's that little happening on the pitch the supports have to make up chants just to amuse themselves. Soccer is the world game there’s no argument there.. but come on, it’s as boring as shit to watch.

Its boring to some people because of the high skill level which it possesses where as in footy screwing up is part of the game and adds a level of excitement which soccer does not....Soccer players are more accurate with their feet and the ball on the floor than footy players passing the ball to each other with their hands..

Well said Chris! Impreza obviously has homo erotic thoughts as all those pics look like blokes palying footy to me.

I like all sport and would not say one is better than the other as it is everyones personal opinion.
I don't like it when someone who has never played or sat and watched a game makes comments on something they obviously know nothing about and just jumps on whatever band wagon comes their way.
My preference is AFL and Cricket.
