Leon Popovich who used to be there is one of the best Audio guys in this state in terms of designing and implementing custom systems...

Now makes kit Lamborghinis to a stunning standard.

+ 1 for Alberts in Myaree

They did my install about 6 months ago (nothing over the top) also installed a remote immobiliser which turned out to be faulty, they replaced it no problems, they give very good honest advice and are very professional.

As mentioned, Dave = top bloke.

Give it a go yourself and see how you go. As everyone else has said, it's really not all that hard.
If not, Audiocom Joondalup, I know the new owner of that store and he's been around that game for years, good bloke too.

problem with getting other people to do it is that you dont know what corner they cut.

my old man is a auto sparky by trade, so i know the headaches and repair that need to be made to fix other peoples mistakes (laziness)

find a mate who kinda know what they are doing, then nut it out over a weekend.

takign the dash apart is just a case of finding the screws and removing carfully, then putting in a container so you dont lose them. is the same with doors.

Another question is how much your moving awat from the stock items and how much modifications are needed.

ie. for my last install i decided that it wasnt worth the hassle of removing the door speakers (cause they are thin) and teh rears were good enough in quality,

so it was just a case of opening the dash, swapping the stereo (colour coded wires) and replacing the dash. took about 2 hours casue my head unit was a little wide and i files a part of the dash back.

however the install before that required me the cut the carpet and place a spacer so the speaker would sit right.

for you, i would look at what you want/need to change and decide if you want the satisfaction of doing it yourself, and the fun.

I installed a new deck and some speakers in a new hilux the other day and now you can get a very wide array of harness which make it alot easier. To put an alpine deck in this hilux was was 13 screws and 4 cable joins. Took about 25 mins. Best bit is because of the harnesses that I used if I ever want to put the stock one back in it is simply plug and play.

Now I have to put the deck I took out of the hilux into a mitsubishi truck. Only issue is that this time I have to wire in a voltage reducer. (the truck is 24v and the hilux head unit is 12v)

I got all the stuff from Alberts in Cannington. I play golf with Adam in there. He talked me into the ipod cable for the alpine and what a weapon that is!

i recently bought an Alpine deck too but this one came with the iPOD cable. its bloody good i reckon, fed the cable behind the dash and now have it sitting in the glovebox. access everything on the pod via the deck, it rocks!
