Yea I got an interview with FMG tomorrow morning for an All Rounder gig. They are busting their collective nuts to get people up there as soon as possible to ramp up production as the train line is expected to carry it's first load out to port in May. I heard they already have 40 Million tons of Iron Ore ready to go, don't know how much truth there is in that though. Can't wait to find out more, especially $$$$. 8 days on 6 off roster FIFO. Experience highly regarded, ie probably won't take on trainee's but you never know if you don't try.

For anyone else that's keen, BGC Contracting are taking all and sundry at Koolan Island. Start off driving Komatsu 730E Electric Haul Packs = Fucking Big Trucks. Had the problem of people coming in , getting 3 months experience and pissing off to a job with more money. It's not bad though. 2 weeks on 1 week off, $98,000pa super inclusive. Paid fornightly but you take home $7,200 every 6 weeks. Predominately brand new to 1 year old equipment which is a God send. I'm sick of operating old shit heap dinosaurs.


Just get your HR licence first folks.
