Matthew Pavlich has fallen short of bringing home Fremantle's first Brownlow Medal but one of Fremantle's many exports has done the job for him, with former East Fremantle champion Ben Cousins sneaking home over another East Freo product, Daniel Kerr, by 1 vote. Cousins is the third former Shark to win the Brownlow Medal in the past 6 years which bodes well for Paul Hasleby in a couple of years time.

Yeah Kerr was a huge surprise packet! And deserves any creditations he can get, he is my favourite for the Norm.

How good was that though, having two Eagles at the top and Juddy not far behind. Shows the strength of the Eagles midfield.

Supposedly that crown went to Geelong, actually mainly to Cameron Ling who took the "House" award.

I'd say Nick Dal Santo should have been quite pissed with the votes he racked up, but Spider looked past it early on
