Phreakers / Phone nerds: HELP WITH 6280

Just thought id put it out there because you just never know what talents some of the members here have hidden. :P I have a 6280 that works fine that I would like to have unlocked from the 3 Network. There also also some spring thing or something in the sliding mechanism that seems dodgy. I’m willing to pay.

If it was a three Prepaid then it can not be unlocked easily
if it was on a a plan then it should be easy just get the old owner to ring three on your behalf requesting that it get unlocked.

pfft thats what the "nerd" shops are for. There is a few of them around, i know the malaga markets had a guy there but not sure if he is still there that can do it. Otherwise the phone shop at the bottom of the travelator at the galleria. I unlocked my V3 myself, bought the program off ebay.

it was a 3 phone on a plan.. so its as easy as to ring 3 and they will unlock it? GX i know of that place at morley. i think they wanted like 80buks, he just didnt seem so sure :P

the guy at malaga charged me like $15 or $20 for a nokia i got done a few years back... You got a data cable? If so should be able to get a program to do it yourself

yeh i got a data cable. were bouts is the bloke at the markets? i dont remember anyone there last time i went :/

If it was on a plan you can call 3 and they have to give you the unlock code.
If you were with vodafone, you can do it online which is sweet.

If not, there is a nerd shop in the picadilly* arcade that does it fairly cheap.

*Spelling and I think it is that one, it is at the very end before you get near the moon and sixpence.

Good stuff, time to unlock my 3 Sony Erricson as well.

haha thats why i am no longer with 3! fuckn hate the customer service!!!!

Same reason I left 3.
May as well have been speaking another language.
Worst customer service ever.
Although they do have good rates and packages, i'd rather pay a little extra and have good customer service.
