oh and i forgot to mention that a 40inch plasma/lcd should be quite hard to steal in the middle of the night due to the sheer size of it... not to mention the speakers and subs... hell i know of a theft with no one home, thieves just ripped the beers, wallets laptops hps were untouched... yes yes stoopid thieves...

it can be a number of factors though mate.. it could be your location, a bird sitting on the antenna, weather condition
is it a built in tuner or a separate stb? brand? suburb? how many tvs in the house?
yeah he mentioned it was in a low signal area, near east freo...but 90% of the time its good but some times, and weather conds, it loses signal..

ahh cool, mosman park and the surrounding suburbs are horrible areas for signal strength/consistency... figured that wouldn't quite reach east freo though.

with weather you can't dictate too much, barring moving the antenna into a different location on the roof. i have a feeling you have the small 'cheapie' antenna and that gets affects when any adverse weather conditions arise.
