Gardiner should just have stayed home, he would have done more for the team not being there. He was fucking useless. As for Judd, damnnn bitch that boy can run!

Whether Hall kicked a swag of goals is irrelevant. He still contributed and assisted in a shitload of key plays for the Swans. He is a hulking mass, and we (Eagles) had noone that was even close to stopping him. Look at the size of Wirrpunda compared to him!

We had the midfield, occassionally and that is it. Like you have all said, Gardiner did fuckall...so without his height in the forward line, who have we got? We got no key big men up front or back...

What we need is a Fraser Gehrig again, or even a Mathew Richardson...

Bloody Gardiner, he comes into work for breaky sometimes, mate, 5 eggs, no yolk, think itd do something, he had a shocker,
I dont think the eagles played a bad game, just missed alot of opputunities,
and bloody Hall, what game was the ref watching?! DISGRACFUL!
Not too cut for the eagles losing to the swans, what its been like 73 years since they won the premiership, if it were like brisbane or adelaide or something, then yer. But good on em. At least WCoast show we can still make it.
Awsome game to watch

At least Woosha (spelling) proved today that in only one year he can take them to a premiership, just think what he can do in the years to come

it's true. their pre season goals this year were to realisticaly make the top 4 and that was a big ask in itself. but as they started winning most of their games throughout the year, the long term goals had to be reassessed. so it's fair to say they had overachieved on their own expectations by reaching the grand final, and it would have been a huge bonus to 'steal' the premiership. it's a bit of a dissapointed that they came so close to winning. all i see on this forum are excuses and bad plays etc, but that's part of the game. it DID come down to the last second of play before the game was decided, so it wasn't exactly like they were thrashed. the eagles are the second youngest team in the league and they have an awesome line up and will do for at least 3 more years. in the end, it was only one straight kick that was the difference.

now the dockers line up... all they're gunna do is trade off their best players for young hopefuls, and start again they do that every year ! when they 'just' don't make the finals, it's a good year.

Yeah... imagine if Gardiner actually took that mark 2 seconds before the siren instead of Leo Barry and kicked the goal... We would've been saying heaps of things differently and less excuses for losing, and Gardiner would have been a bloody hero. It was a close final and all the players deserve some respect. Except Barry Hall who should have been rubbed out for at least one week!!!
