Stripped spur gear, anywhere from $15 - 40 depending on brand of vehicle.

Thats caused by either:
- Binding drivetrain or gear mesh adjusted too tight
- Foreign matter ingestion
- Slipping 2 speed clutch causing overheating of spur gear assembly
- Bent chassis or engine mount causing misalignment between spur and pinion gears

GX-REX beat me to it, but check the condition of your pinions....if you've sucked a rock in, its probably still caught in your pinion, or it would have chewed that up too.

shouldnt be too much...
check the spur gears on the motor also as they have a habit of burring over when this happens...
depends on the model and gear ratio but i'd budget around $50 all up to do it yourself...

pfft stripping spur gears is for noobs! Snapping your chassis in half and ripping the heat sink off the block is where its at!

I'll show you how to break parts in style when there is a carpark meet

I have two hot wheels radar guns too (quite accurate according to my GPS) so we can do some speed tests.

- Slipping 2 speed clutch causing overheating of spur gear assembly is most likely, whats pinions?

The Pinion is the other gear that ripped the teeth of your Spurgear If the engine moves a bit because your engine mounts arnt tightened to the chassis enough can cause this too happen, happened to me a few times

Spur gears are like a fuse, they are meant to go saving the gearbox and diffs etc, so dont be tempted to put a metal one in.

like a wrx stock clutch I guess haha.

Metal spur and metal pinion can also cause radio interference....so thats another reason not to get one
