any other mad keen Halo players out there?
if you are you may know that Halo 3 is coming out tomorrow (september 25th) just wondering if anyone out there is as obsessed by halo as me! :D
any thoughts on the game/what your expecting etc etc

I only have halo 1 on the pc but lost count how many times I have played it through to the end. I want halo 2 but dunno if its worth buyin windows vista in order to play it.

You can get a crack to make it install and work on Windows XP. Google It.

LOVE HALO....nearly as much as my car, but way more than a gf!!
Heard the game is mint......saw a read up on it in a recent FHM. They said it was the best shit ever. They have unreal graphics...moving grass, trees etc. The bots are smarter, eg the group together to try fuck you up. You can hear a battle going on close by even though you can't see it. They have brought the rifle back (high 5). They have some specky plasma shield or some shit like that.... don't quote me on that one though. Can't wait for it to come out.....best week of my life past few days...picked up a 2000 wrx and now halo3

But,

Then the instructions are:
1) Extract the archive.
2) Insert the Halo 2 DVD
3) Run Startup.exe on the Halo 2 DVD using the included Loader.exe
Ie.: Loader.exe D:\Startup.exe {Use the old DOS or go to Start - Run then type in "C:\{Dir you extracted files to}\Loader.exe D:\startup.exe"
4) Install the game.
5) Install XLiveRedist1.0.6027.msi and vcredist.msi from the \redists dir on the Halo 2 DVD. (find those files and double click them)
6) Copy the following files into the directory you installed Halo 2:
dwmapi.dll, mf.dll, MFPlat.dll
7) Finished. To play the game, run halo2.exe using the included Loader.exe
Ie.: Loader.exe "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo 2\halo2.exe"

Copy MF.dll into C:\windows\system32

Too hard John. Rather just work 5 hours and get enough cash to buy the game. All the above probably take me 5 hours anyways!

i have had one of the biggest privelages in my life, i got given a free copy of the game on thursday and ive been playing it ever since! finished it yesterday morning at 4:30 am, i couldnt put it down... the graphics are unimaginable, gameplay is just perfect and the cinematics are just cool 10/10 for me, for seasoned players i think play it on heroic because normal may be a bit easy, i found it easy but i wanted to see the end! just make sure when you finish the game watch the credits through and there is a movie at the end which explains alot and ties up the story... i sat there staring at the screen for 10 mins after i finished playing processing what had happened so i found the extra end movie by accident :D

I bought my copy from BigW for like $79.....sweet deal. I finished on wednesday ( i pretty much didn't do much else). Awesome final stage!!!!! Crazy ending too. The videos they have during the game are awesome.....coolest game.

They seemed to have a few copies....i knew EB games etc etc would prob be sold out with all the pre-orders so if ya go someone thats not considered a game spot you'll be sweet. BigW don't care about the hype they just want to get it in and get it out like all their shit....so hence the cheap price :)

I just play at my own pace, namely sticking plasma grenades to the aliens' heads, haha! :D

its a cool game finished it. Now half way through in legendary mode. Online action is sweet

yeah i haven't cranked out live yet.......to busy trying to finish it.....I want to try finish it on legendary but those little flood head things rape your shield...and you get violated by the other fukers with guns and shit.
