Who's responsible for curb??
Anyone in town planning or local government give me some info??
I've bought a villa on a strata block. Front villa has a nicely sloping curb from drive to road side.... I have a friggin curb to drive up. Any idea who is responsible for knocking out the old curb and putting in some sort of decent fall to my driveway? Got a nice STI lip on our new Club Spec and would like to leave it intact....climbing curbs aint helping. Got horrible feeling I'm going to be out with a sledgehammer and concrete trowl over next few weekends

Paul, had a similar problem at my old house, they wouldnt do anything because there was some regulation about having a big ass curb on corners. We actually had to have a shared driveway with the neighbour, so our driveway exited the property on the low curb. Royal pain in the ass. Good luck though You can always drive up sideway?

The tart at Stirling council said oh no that's your problem to sort but we'll need to inspect it once you've done it.... Yeah like I'm going to tell them to come check it out once I've put it in so they can knock it back. Road crew around the corner laying some new hot mix....maybe see if the can come dump some crete for a carton

If the property is strata managed, prepare to get your ass whipped if you are out there hacking up a 'communal' drive-way.
If it's a strata block, everything you do has to go through the strata for approval i suspect, which sucks because i doubt they will give a fuck about your front lip, and your noisy exhaust.

Nah it's green title so can do as I like, and my neighbour has a GTR so no doubt he won't mind putting something a little more user friendly down.
Brett tried to call you on mobile to man. Try again after lunch

Paul, you can request your council to put a bitumen wedge infront of the kerb to make access easier. I had this at my old house in the hills. Only thing is you have to apply in writing, they won't accept verbal requests.

Back home we had a very heavy steel plate/lip to drive up that was bolted to the existing driveway lip Maybe something that is relatively temporary but can be removed if anybody chucks a wobbly?

You can apply to your local council to have the kerb changed. Or, you can get out some quickset concrete, and make it a little more smoother, extending it slightly into the road a bit more. We are about to do the same at my mum's house in Duncraig. My sister's b/f's car can't get up the kerb unless he drives onto the kerb from a very acute angle, along the verge, then up the driveway... I couldn't reverse up the driveway in my hatch unless I did the same thing.. If you take to it with a sledge hammer, they will bill you for it. Try the application to have it changed first. I have seen it done, but it may take some time.
