Hmmm hardly sounds like a hoon cop and its probably not worth loosing his job for (plenty of other coppers to sack before this dude). Sure he did the wrong thing but it sounds like a slight overreaction
If it was a "demo" at the North Midland Ag. show (WTF is this anyway?) then perhaps he probably should have used a bit more thought / common sense in regard to allowing his mrs as passenger / crowd control / insurance and getting approval (?) but is it really worth sacking the bloke? One could argue that it actually might get young hoons actually talking to them, which wouldnt be such a bad thing. He's hardly sending the wrong message in regard to the road toll. Stopping skids isnt going to save lives! Last edited by Mat; 27-11-2007 at 02:39 PM. |

Thats b/s.
Cops should be doing this sort of thing more often! What better way to "humanise" the police force in the eyes of the young and show that there is a time and a place for things like burnouts. Safe, controlled, organised. Public termination of the bloke is fuel to the fire. |

Yea let them have a bit of fun.
They might be a bit more realistic when the situation calls for it.
