The nullabor, for fun?
I wouldnt do it in a newly purchased car, id want to be driving that old 4WD on the road a good few weeks before attempting that..
Every old car his its little faults, dont want one of them turning into a big fault.

Its good fun, why do u want an old 4x4 though? That would be a pig. You want something cruisey with dark tint and aircon Fairmont wagon? Forry? Outback?

Done it twice actually. First time was with a Britz van and the family which was decent second time with a 4WD and camping gear.

Good experience but not sure I'd do it again in a hurry!

Reckon it would be more interesting heading for Alice Springs eh

True tho...Minor issues become big ones out there so make sure you take lots of wire and sticky tape lol.

Be pointless to just drive across the nullabor IMHO.

You really wanna take it easy and see as much of the south coast as possible. Head down past esperance, cape arid etc, then towards toolina cove and play around on the old telegraph lines.

im sure theres stuff to do in SA and could hit great ocean road and see the 12 apostles etc. Sure it would take a few more weeks but damn it would make for a memorable road trip with the boys!
