Anyone have a link to Ramon's ICE install? you guys got me interested.

And yes I agree with some comments here. It's not the best car but I guess he did it coz he loves his audio and his work. On the same token, some rich buggers with Ferraris may say (of ramon's car for example): "why mod the shit out of a WRX? Why not do it to an Aston/Porsche etc?" It's because it's the car we love and want to spend out money on.

i'll keep this updated if anything new comes up..
I just can't get over that boot haha

EDIT: And this install is posted on a couple of other forums (Like Mobileelectronicsaustralia.com) and at the begining he states: "this has been my dream car. Now I have it and I can put my audio in".
I guess it's his dream car... can't argue with that!

I dont like the car atl all, but im loving whats in the stereo components

Theres like $15+++ k worth of gear in there let alone all the CF and other custom fabrication thats in there too

Shit Car none the less would rather all that gear in a rexy or foz or anything but a BMW. Focal belongs in Mercedes or Audis like Bang and Olufsen

I would love this car WAY more

Photos do not do this Prado Justice but if you sit in it and have a listen it will blow your mind, a bit like Ramons car, although he still owes me a listen since hes got the processor in

I don't agree with that at all. Well, i agree it's abviously more suited to see Focal and the likes in high-end cars, but people put in car audio for the love of music, not just for the street cred they get when they pop the boot.
What about people who don't give too much of a sh*t about cars and own a $20k Daewoo but LOVE their audio (EG maybe they're a sound engineer) and demand the best for their car when they are driving in it?
music and cars are two different things. Fortunately they do work well together

Nice pics of that 4WD install too Phil
EDIT: just saw the FPV.. yeah can't believe the coinkidink:I've seen it in the flesh and got a few pics myself of it! I've even seen the thread on MEA.com about it's whole design process. Lots of work in that too. I saw Ramon @ a cruise one time. his wife/GF was driving so I asked "is that yours" to which he replied "nah mate, I just pay the bills" with a bit of a roll of the eyes!!

I did have a sweet install in my old Forester about $5k but i ripped out some and sold some then traded the car with Mb Premium splits in the front and Reference in the rear, kinda regretting it now......ive got a mate thats awesome for installing if you need a hand when you get your gear in the car.

when the new engine combo (finally) gets here and its back on the road will get together again philbo and ill show what a massive difference the processor/time alignement/optical fibre/active stage and centre channel have all made, you thought it was good before, your ears are going to be in for a treat!

audio snobs might stick their noses up @ brands like alpine because it doesn't get them wet like focal but ive yet to hear anything like my creation of the entire alpine catalogue!
