yeah but doesn't it require your xp validation?? let's just say my xp wouldn't pass it if it doesn't need validation i'd definately try it

You might be able to get a one care version the same as your xp :P 'legally'

Format, reinstall. Will fix it. Then buy a REAL anti-virus. I find it funny people download 'free' anti-virus software off the net, only to complain they then get virus'. Bit ironic isnt it? I use norton internet security 2008, and ive had the past 3 years versions too, never had a virus. And lets put it this way, i also use those 'gamcopyworld' type sites along with *cough*torrents*cough*

Well worth the $50 or so. Peace of mind.

Best of luck getting rid of it though.

i did it in normal mode but do it in safemode
before u run it:
disable avg and any other antivirus/spyware apps first
turn off system restore
