Default Petrol prices going up to $2.30 per litre by end of the year?

Heard from a mate that the petrol prices will soar to $2.30 per litre by end of this year...anyone know if its true??

I'm sure petrol might be $2.30 a litre somewhere in Australia by the end of the year but i cant see it hitting $2.30 or even $2 in the metro region.

Im moving to the USA where its still below $1 a litre.

Sucks to be stuck in "Down under" or should they call it "further behind"

now where would that be?? just got back from north america a little while ago and didnt see petrol for any less than a dollar. it was something like a $1.10 a litre and that was for 87 octane or something like that. then i think they had 89 and 91 octane aswell which were more expensive again.
