happened to me over a year ago too...

Had the same happen to me few weeks ago, smashed drivers side window...took my gps. It was in a complex of 70 cars with a security gate. It's more the hassle of fixing the thing, had my window replaced but theyve somehow bent the actual shell of the car so the window doesn't sit flush with the rubbers, had all the door mechanics replaced but still no win. Now I have to cruise in a camry til i decide what to do with it.
Anyways, sorry to hear, and hope they didn't do further damages

At the same time, think yourself lucky.
I used to live in a unit complex in Claremont, and we had someone torching cars.

We got our shed burnt from the heat of one of the cars burning….it melted everything inside.

The police knew who it was, but had no evidence to prove it so they couldn’t arrest him. This bloke was in and out of greylands hospital.
The cars mysteriously stopped burning, we found out later its because this guy was transferred to Adelaide metal hospital..
Anyway, he was transferred back to Perth and the cars started burning again.
I think that was enough proof for the police, and it never happened again.

Got the window fixed today, spent two hours vacuming glass out of every nook and cranny of my car , window re-tinting booked in for monday avo.

Real shitter is my detector was hard wired in, they just pulled the thing of with the plug still attached at the end, now i just have stripped wires and no more plug. Stupid f#@kers, the cigi plug was in the center dash.

oh well, lesson learnt, never EVER leave shit in the car, wherever I park it!!

May see if I can get the detector "upgraded' to the bel sti with the help of a friendly (and/or corrupt) shop assistant then at least some good would have come out of it all.
