Arrow opinions of a 250cc bike

Need your opinions of a 250cc bike. Was checking out the Hyosung GT250R. 4-5k second hand for a 2007 model with very low mileage. Pretty good deal. Or even brand new for 9k. The Aprillia RS250 is also another looker, howevey being a European bike parts will be expensive, but even still its a quick bike. Staying away from the Kawasaki ZX2R ninja's as they're getting old along with the CBR's.

So wats your 2 cents...

I'd say the Hyosungs would be the way to go. Should be cheap for parts and there are a lot of them for sale so finding a good one should not be that hard.

Maybe.... :P

I don't rate the hyosungs. Brendan is going to hate me, but some people refer to them as korean rubbish.

aprilla rs250 is a 2-stroke, it is probably the best 250 in the market, but its too expensive maintinence wise. rgv250 falls into the same catagory as the aprilla runs a modified rgv motor. but the rgv is cheaper.

cbr's and zxr's are sort of the same boat. both retain their value very well. if you have the money i'd probably go for the cbr, and then sell it after as it will hold its value well. and they are one of the best overall bikes.

ninja 250r is another nice bike if you have the money.

Cheeballs you have no ideaaaaaaaaaa!
nah hyosungs have a SHIT turning circle and cant turn aswell as the non-fairing bikes. Aprill make a solid 250cc but 2stroke is hard to look after. my bike is lovley to ride, full size bike and weighs the same or close to the bigger cc bikes. Personally i love my hyosung, havent had any troubles yet.

Good cheap little bike with excellent attributes is the Honda CBF250.
Mum has this bike and its a little ripper!

we'll let me take it for a ride after next week :P

what your better getting your license first, and then taking each bike for a ride to see what you like.

eg. you might not like the aggressive riding position of the cbr etc. each bike is different. so your better off taking each one for a ride.
