Default Opinions - LPG and Duel Fuel

Hi guys,

I've very little knowledge about these 2 fuel systems, but I'm in the market for a family wagon and with the price of fuel rising so quickly, I've started to think about getting either a dedicated LPG or duel fuel car.

Just wanted to find out from anyone the pros and cons of owning wither a dedicated LPG or duel fuel car in terms of:

1) Mechanicals - I heard that LPG cars run hotter resulting in shorter engine life. Is this a myth or fact?

2) Compulsory inspections - Someone told me that cars fitted with LPG tanks more than 10 years ago have to go through an annual inspection. Is this true?

I would rather purchase a vehicle that is already converted or factory converted so that I don't mess around with having a workshop do it but I think I'm limited in these choices to the Falcons, Commodores and Magnas.

Any other info would be very helpful.

Thanks
