I'm no legal expert, but surely by saying they stand by their initial claim (that Mercedes Corby was a drug smuggler) they are defaming her again? Meaning they can be sued again? Channel 7 said she was a drug smuggler, they got sued and were told don't say that again and they just did. Oops.
