It is illegal and the police are not above the law. One was done early this year or late last year for illegal parking at a shopping centre. Get photos and prefrebally one of the windscreen displaying no disabled permit and they will be looking at a fine. Fuck them.

For the record, it may not be illegal.

Parking bays at shopping centres are on private property, and unless they have a parking enforcement agreement with the council, no one can do anything about it.

That being said, its no excuse to park in a bay that is marked for disabled people only.

What if there was an assault at the shopping centre, and say you were involved? Want the cops to keep driving around trying to find a parking spot or park wherever there is one available?

Well I agree with Bakks. Don't know the circumstances of why they are parked there and it is easy to assume they are in getting donuts. They could be in there picking up any kind of criminal, which I'm sure most people wouldn't care where they parked then.

And I've never been pulled over or given hassle over the car I drive.
