Local model is rated at 366 nm whereas the JDM is (iirc) 422nm

Combined with a kerb weight of nearly 1600kgs, that's a bit of a handicap compared the the IX, and even the new STi, which is quite a lot lighter.

It appears that (in Oz at least) they're chasing the sort of person who doesn't want a track car, and more of a luxury performance car.

I've defended the WRX / STi hatch before, but for the Ralliart Lancer, I really hope Oz gets the sedan. The Ralliart hatch is H I D E O U S!

It looks like an amateur conversion of a Ralliart sedan, done in a shed. Not something which a manufacturer, which can make it's own panels, should have some up with.

Ralliart isn't too bad. It is not an Evo X by a long shot (there are a lot of differences between the two).

However, you can now flash the Super Sport mode of the Evo SST onto the Ralliart SST. Tuning is easy and plentiful.

Would make a good daily tbh.

^ thanks for the reply

Just a little bit concerned about fuel consumption and service cost because they have more fluids to change?

I'm guessing tokyo motorsports is the main tuning place?

Fuel consumption after a tune isn't a problem. I get 8-9L/100 in the evo on the highway.

SST fluid is expensive, but you only need to change it at ~90,000km. At a dealer it is sub $1k job, so essentially you are paying for a clutch replacement.

I'd go see the guys at Tokyo's and see what packages they have for the Ralliart.
