Default Anyone live in Dunsborough and owns a radar detector?

Does anyone here live in Dunsborough and owns a Bel or Escort radar detector?

I've had someone claim they drove past a Multanova (twice) and their V1 in euro mode did not alert.

They sent their V1 back, and it tests fine, so I've turned Euro mode off, but the only explanation I can think of is that the Multanova has fallen so far out of tune that it was out of the Euro mode frequency spread (in Ka band)

So I'm hoping someone can drive past the Multanova used there with their Bel or Escort radar detector set in "Tech Display" mode whereby it shows the actual frequency of the radar when alerting.

If the Multanova is not being detected in Euro mode, then it may have dropped that far out of tune, that it's operating outside of the ACMA allocations, therefore it's actually being operated illegally.

I'll pay $100 to anyone that can provide me a video of their radar detector's display (tech mode) going past this camera in Dunsborough with some kind of footage before or after to prove the location (street sign / major landmark of Dunsborough etc)

I'm down here Jez, not sure who owns the multinova down here.

I was thinking that busso shire owns it and rents it out to DB, MR, COW, ect.

Could be hard to track down.

Dam.... Why not just go the speed limit and not have to worry about all that crap. $100 will get you one ticket 10km over the limit.

Cause driving under the speed limit still gets some people tickets (more so in the east)

A radar detector can also give you a gentle reminder that you may be breaking a law you did not intend to break

Putting cameras at change of speed signs - was told yesterday arvo how someone (whom normally drives like a granny) got done on Tonkin highway. The speed drops down from 100 to 80 at the lights then back up to 100 afterwards.

He got done for doing 91 after stopping at the lights on red, then as he was accelerating away from the lights on green, he got done by a camera set up just before the 100 sign.

Safety my arse, pure revenue raising.
