my old man being the genius he is cant find the bit of paper witht he code on it.

rather than resetting the code, can i simply find it out? even if its just once?

i want to connect my Wii and iPhone to it and need the code.

EDIT:

if you don't know the code, there is no easy way of getting it.

better to just access the wireless router and change it. Of if you've even forgotten the password to access the router simply to a full factory default reset and start from fresh.

login into your router using http://192.168.0.1. You will require username and password.

After you have logged into the router simply select wireless settings from menu in the left.

You will find Wep key right at the bottom of the page.

run ipconfig/all via command prompt to get the real ip of your router.

It seems that the default 192.168.. Ip address has been changed

If the router option doesnt work out, Try WEP Key or AirCrack. Both good WEP key sniffers.

Although router is still the easiest.

Plug a CAT 5 into a PC, and then into the router.

Type the router address into your browser (normaly 192.168.1.254, 10.1.1.1, 192.168.0.1, or something similar...its normally in the instruction manual if those 3 dont work).

Default login/password for the router is always admin/admin.

Go to wireless settings and the password will be there.

Try this first as most AP's/Router's generally block management via the wireless interface.
