Default iphone vs lg black series

im looking to upgrade my current 8800 sirocco, ive looked at the updated version in the 8800 arte, but at 1700$, even im not silly!

the lg kf750 has caught my eye but im wondering is it worth the premium over the iphone?

any feedback appreciated.

ramon, do u bluetooth things between ur phone and mates phones, or to the PC? Can't do that on a iphone.

do you like to have music as ur ringtone? u have at least 8gb of music on ur iphone, not one can be used as a ringtone.

do you use ur phone camera much? 2.0mp doesn't cut it in my book.

do you make video calls? can't do that on an iphone...

don't get me wrong, i phone is great, if u want an mp3 player, with a phone attached, and ability to access the web. Just some of those things are things i want from a phone.

I had the lg shine until yesterday. I didnt like the phone at all. It was hard to use. A mate has got the viewty and has got the same layout as the shine. If the phone that you are looking at has the same layout as the shine and viewty, I would stay away. If you are familiar with the lg layout and like it, then go for it. I have got a nokia n95 as of yesterday and am very happy. Cant beat the generic nokia.

to be honest i make and receive phonecalls, text and mms. all the other add ons are a bonus but hardly life changing.

i dig phones based solely on the cool factor. the carbon fibre finish on the lg is a big selling feature for me.

i bought the 8800 soley because it came with "slide mechanism has ball bearings as used by top level motorsport teams"

well in that case i would try and go for the lg juts because the fact that you dont actually require all those other features, and its alot smaller than the iphone, and yes that carbon fibre back is awesome i love it lol, just waiting for it be released on a cheaper plan for me

Incorrect. Rename any of the music files to an m4r file and hey presto.

You are sorta right but most people use their phone for phone calls and 2.0mp cuts it for mms (unless jailbroken) and email

Some iPhone pros:
Its Apple, it works
Sync music, mail, calendar, contacts, photos easily
Install fuckn cool apps

and now the cons:
Battery life, OMFG 12 hours before you are running for your cable
Have an ipod dock in your VHUB PRO? Thats good, it wont charge the iPhone at all and will give fucked messages like turn onto airplane mode every time you connect it
Lagging Contacts (fixed with jail break or another apple update)
