trade in is between 40-44.

Hes telling porkies, Alternatively call VW and say give me a round figure of what theyre worth.

if your desperate give him 50 and be done with it.

If your not fussed and willing to let it go say 49 it is, we can seal the deal now without worrying about a dealer trade, if Not walk away

no chance he was offered 50k from a dealer
however for 5,000kms its probably worth 50k.

check the redbook value here:

The used car market is shit at the moment. No dealer is going to offer $50k for a used car, when they are selling a new one for $60k. What price are they going to put on the used car- $55k? They'd never sell it.

But then again, buying cars for private use is never about value or logic...if its the colour you want, has the options you want, etc, then $1k isn't heaps. There's not heaps of those cars around anyway.

Nice car too!

Make your offer. If he's keen to sell then he will let it go! Cars in the upper range market are willing to take a hit that's unless the guy owes 50k on the car. If that is the case you have no chance!

Dealers will only offer what redbook says depending on KMS and condition!
