I bought an Optus pre-paid USB last week to tie me over while Internet was connected to new place. Not really happy with it, had several 45 minutes on hold waits while sorting out connection problems. Even now it sometimes drops out and I have to hit disconnect / reconnect 4 or 5 times for it to connect again (7.2Meg)

It also keeps throwing up the "I'm out of download credit" message (even though I am well under) and again I have to disconnect and reconnect a few times for the message to go away.

Got normal connection up and going again as of today, so not using the wireless anymore

Guys, I'm pretty sure all except Telstra are using the same basic speeds and network (probably from Telstra!).

I've had a vodaphone deal for 5G- $40 per month... really great, except when we moved to Ellenbrook and it fell out of 3G network and defaulted back to GPRS speeds (now back to dial up speeds- totally sucks!)

If you're in the 3G network (most areas- constantly expanding etc) these are great, if you're not sure- go Telstra.
