i wouldn't worry too much about that mate. its not that really noticeable unless your closely looking around your car for dents. not worth the hassle

Who put the swirl marks in a freshly painted bonnet And why is there a photo of the view of your roof taken with what looks like a fisheye lens

And I gotta disagree with all those who say it's not noticable. It stands out like fluroescent dogs balls when it's your own car

having been through something like this before, the council wont let you sue them per-se they will say you want to make a claim thats fine, but you need to make it through your insurance company. They wont accept direct claims. So if you do and claim is rejected - through lack of proof etc then your going to have to go through your insurance company.

As others have said its not worth the hassle.

There not swirl marks, just dust particles that he's whipped to show the dent. Put it in this perspective. would you rather spend +$100 to remove a dent that is so small or would you rather put it towards something that actually matters.

One of my cars has a gash from some jerk trying to park next to me. For noticeable than this even after a detail. Not worth the money respraying it.

Thanks for the info - much appreciated. I've written to the PTA in an email and see if they respond. Stuart from Dentcraft called me this morning and he's going to check my car tonight. If he can fix I'm going to leave it with him for a few days as I am off to Sydney next week and dont need the car.

I'll let you all know what the cost is.

Thats a picture of my bonnet - the roof is from the reflection. As the bonnet is concave it has produced a similar look to fish eye.

I think it my car wasnt black it would not be such an issue, The only way I can explain it is that it's like when you get a pimple on your face - when you look in the mirror it's the only thing you see. As time goes it probably won't bother me as much but today it does.

Wait... you want to sue because a nut from a tree fell on your car and may have damaged your bonnet?

Last time I checked we don't live in the USA. Keep your silly sueing over there please.

Make sure you put a backup claim in sueing for car detailing when it rains, or the dust in the councils air is clogging up your air filter.
