The boys in blue have the freeway roadworks covered today it seems...

Laser speed trap just after Anketell Road in the 60km/h "chicane".

Laser speed trap just before Berrigan Drive in the 80km/h zone (next to the new train station).

Saw some others going over the overpasses, not sure if they had been sitting up there to get anyone.

And as they were lasers, the RX-65 didn't go off... *sob*

the rx65 dont have a sensor for laser or it just didnt get it for that time. ?

as i said before, hand held radar guns are aimed at your number plates, and the detector has a low probability of picking that up
and if it did, it may be too late

lasers are "instant on", so the only time ur unit picks it up is when the cop pointing it at ya and squeeze the trigger, normaly it's too late by then like joe said.

on rare occations, they do it the second time to confirm ur speed so if you're quick (to slow down without smoke ur tyres) you might just get out of it.

yeah, i kinda figure that for the pass month with the increasing numbers of handhelds around town. but i also figure this:
usually you can shot(laser) from about a 100m away. which for me will alert me in the x50, what i can do then depending on the speed you were travelling at, is to either make a U turn if possible, Turn into a road, Park your car ...etc before you reach the officer. but usally they get you on a spot where there is no way to run..like mounts bay road. but on the suburbans road i think is possible.
