There is no reason you need to sand a pre-finished or floating floor.

The surfaces they come with from the factory are much, much harder containing a mixture of many different compounds (Polyurethane, Aluminium Oxide and Teflon) none of which can be applied post installation. They are more resilient than any spray/roll on lacquer that is applied after installation.

3 ply pre- finished and floating floors are also much more dimensionally stable and less prone to warping, swelling and bursting off the floor due to moisture than a solid board.

Hi Guys,

Sorry to hijack this thread but i am going to put in floating floors in my villa just trying to find a good place to go see which is reasonable price?

Any recommendations? I am on a tight budget so i am going to do it myself.
