I was in Brisbane 2 weeks ago. It's like a much bigger version of Perth!

I wouldn't mind living there seeing as there's fuck all to do here.

Brisbane is quite nice, have been there a few times and there is quite a bit to do. As Huy said I too found it to be fairly comparable to Perth, not that much bigger though really. The bonus is you can head to the Gold Coast - relatively short train ride of 40 minutes which is bombed. Canberra on the other hand you could not pay me enough to live there, easily one of the most boring and uneventful places in Australia.

Yep - Definitely need to check out the Gold Coast. More to do over there.

Oh, and lots of nice ladies, too.

agree with the consensus. Stay the hell away from Canberra! Boring as absolute hell, and has incredibly hot days as well as freezing nights. Brisbane on the other hand is a more stable temperature, not to warm not too cold.

Also close as to the gold coast which is awesome. I ran into so many people just 'up for the weekend' when i was on the coast.

Canberra's a hole. It's close to some nice alpine roads and the ski fields. But its a hole. And full of public servants and politicians. Go to Brisbane.

Going to Brissy for new years as usual this year ( we have a very close mate who lives in Enoggera which is 15 mins from Brissy on a quiet day for Army). Been over quite a few times, and i like it lots.. Just get used to humid as days, and random thunderstorms.

Other then that, you'll get used to it very quickly, and you'll love the driving road there, e.g. MT Cootha.

Are you serious? It'd eat Perth for breakfast.

I'd live in Brisbane if it weren't for the fact that my work always involves little arse-fuck towns.
