Am in the process of considering a move for a job to either Canberra or Brisbane, what would you choose, I notice rent in Brissy is a lot cheaper for a much better unit.

But I am open to any opinions on either place

Well I've been to both and they are both pretty average, I'd choose Brissy as it's warmer and closer to the coast, but then if you like snowboarding/skiing Canberra is pretty close to Thredbo/Perisher. The nightlife in Canberra was pretty lame from what I can remember, it's cold all the time and there's not much to do.

I hate the heat so Canberra sounds good already , plus would be good to go snow boarding in the winter. And not too fussed on night life I guess.

I spent a day in Canberra... a day too many.

Yet to visit Brisbane, but it could not possibly be worse.
